It’s Not Always the Big Things
The photographer in me is drawn to the small things, the details. For me that is the difference between a snapshot and a photograph. Sometimes I like to disassemble things further, perhaps to remove the color. It is an entirely different way of looking at things. There is a glorious piece of engineering in this image, but there is more, a lot more.
Stop and smell the pampas grass occasionally.

I shot this last Friday along with the Bixby Bridge series of photos previously posted. I actually would have been happier if there had been some fluffy clouds to enrich the picture a bit, but this wasn’t bad at all.

Late Season Storm on Monterey Bay
Well, we are getting a bit of a winter flashback. A late season storm has come to The Central Coast bringing rain and overnight temperatures in the 30s. If I wanted to live in Maine, I’d move there
